Day 1 of My Journey

So about me:

I'm 40 year old male, 5'10", 235 lbs., with a 38 pant size waist, (measured at 47 inches). My occupation is LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist), you can check out my web site at http://www.massagebymauro.com

I have always been overweight and in my 30's I was able to get down to a size 32 pant size and weigh around 162lbs. It was great. I felt good about myself and really liked the looks I received. It was about four years ago that I went through a break up and it caused me to just not care about eating and gaining weight. I left my self go. At that time I weighed around 170lbs, and now 4 years later I'm at 235lbs.

My goal would be to go down to 150-155 and be able to see my abs. I'm doing this for myself and my health. I do hope to reap the benefits in 16 weeks and this blog will serve to keep me accountable and also to share my journey to health.

My Starting Stats (9/3/07):

Male
40 years old
5'10"
235 lbs (as of 9/3/07)
38 pant size waist (47 inches measured)
34% BF (calculated through http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/body_fat_calculator.html)

Today was my first day of the Six Pack Abs Workout: http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/. It was very challenging but was able to do most of the work outs. I did the push ups and BW squats, full sets. As for the one leg lunges those were easy but the pull ups kicked my but. I did 15 for the first one, 15 for the second one but the last 4 were bad, then 6 and rest 4 then rest and finally the last 5 that were just awful but hey got it done, not perfect but something better than nothing. As for the last set of body builders and plank I totally rested between each set. To do all of them right after each other I probably would have passed out. I decided to take it slow and at least finish them at my own pace. As far as food goes, I'm going to try to get 5 meals per day. If I can I'll do 6 but that's kinda hard. I'll be doing 3 myoplex light shakes for 3 of my meals and then tuna in water and salad with an apple for one meal and cottage cheese with fat free yogurt and 12 almonds for another meal and for the six will be chicken breast with broccoli. At least thats my plan for now. I'll keep you all posted how my week goes.

Super, Just keep on moving...
I suggest you to do supersets with less resting time between as possible.
